AIM Alumni in Beijing and Shanghai
have organized themselves into two alumni associations
with their respective sets of officers. However, in
keeping with the one country one chapter policy of FAIM
they have agreed to
coordinate with each other so both can be represented in
FAIM as one chapter only.
The two groups were organized in April
2004 during the AIM Alumni Leadership Tour where more
than twenty AIM alumni from the Philippines led by AIM
Alumni - Phil Chairman Ed Banaga , AIM Alumni - Phil
Treasurer (now the present Chairman) Teddy Villanueva
and AIM Alumni Relations Director Greg Atienza visited
Beijing and Shanghai. They were met in Shanghai by FAIM
Chairperson Sugar Han.
On June 25, during an important AIM event
in Shanghai, AIM President Roberto de Ocampo
administered the oath of office of the new officers of
the AIM Alumni Chapter of China. A Dinner was hosted by
FAIM at the St. Regis Hotel. There are now more than
around 100 alumni in China and it is hoped this number
will increase dramatically in the near future. |
